Housing Authority car parks: about 6,000 spaces now have EV chargers
The Housing Authority says that, as of June 2026, about 6,000 private-car spaces in 170-plus of its car parks have EV chargers, mostly medium-speed. Hourly spaces are charged by time at HK$10 per 30 minutes for medium charging (about HK$2.99/kWh). A pilot awarding 500-plus spaces to private operators, who will bill by energy used, is due this year, with wider tenders from 2027.
